Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Associate Subrogation Representative to join the team!
This position is responsible for the investigation, negotiation and recovery of subrogation claims with appropriate supervision while working within specific limits and authority on assignments of low complexity. Coordinates with insureds, claimants, insurance representatives and attorneys during the pursuit of subrogation to maximize fair recoveries through negotiations. Excellent customer service and communication skills with our customers is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate liability and damages to assess subrogation potential including consideration of jurisdiction regulations. Identify responsible party/parties and contribution potential. Review and determine the best course of recovery.
- Negotiate subrogation recoveries with carriers, responsible party(s), and other legal representatives. Promptly and aggressively recover payout.
- Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new information as it becomes available and an analysis of the impact on the liability and recovery options.
- Maintain diary systems to manage files in a timely manner; documenting key activities in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage expenses on assigned files to assure cost effective resolution, including legal expenses on litigated files.
- Maintain favorable working relationships with claim offices.
- May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Schedule:
The 37.5-hour schedule will be Monday through Friday between the core hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the potential to work holidays and a few Saturdays per year.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Required to obtain state insurance licenses as needed and meet continuing education requirements
- Strong organizational, file management and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle conflicts or deal with difficult situations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
- Pursue additional insurance designations
