Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Accountant.  The selected candidate will be responsible for investment accounting related functions, including recording investment transactions in accounting systems, month-end close and reconciliations, quarterly and annual reporting, preparation of various internal and external financial reports, and financial analysis of monthly operating results.


  • Enter investment transactions into the investment accounting system, currently FIS iWorks
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting work papers and schedules for investment transactions
  • Prepare all investment accounting reports as required internally and externally
  • Assist in day-to-day decisions concerning accounting treatment for investment related transactions
  • Interpret and analyze accounting ledgers, reports and statements as it relates to Amica’s investment portfolios
  • May be called upon to handle other duties as required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 1 year accounting experience is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, theories and terminology
  • Functional and technical skills applicable to investment accounting
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team
