Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor who will supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Area. Tasks are generally considered to be more demanding than those assigned to Senior Accountant, requiring work related experience and supervisory experience.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and prioritize workflow so that invoices and expense reports (travel and auto) are processed in a timely fashion
• Research/prepare general ledger queries and journal entries
• Handle routine and confidential accounts payable transactions
• Research and resolve operational production issues
• Oversee monthly and annual close of accounts payable transactions including reconciliation to PeopleSoft system and trial balance
• Participate in special projects and provide support for Accounting Department initiatives as well as improve Accounts Payable processes by participating in companywide initiatives
• Responsible for handling more complex/moderately difficult problems and expected to recommend solutions to higher levels
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Pursuit of advanced degree/professional designations recommended
• 5+ years accounting experience with some supervisor experience
• Proficient with Microsoft applications
• PeopleSoft experience preferred
• Professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills
