Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist. Under general supervision, the selected individual will configure, implement, monitor and support Business Intelligence platforms and perform analysis to develop IT solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Assist with implementation, configuration and maintenance of Business Intelligence infrastructures, hardware and software, including associated vendor software on all platforms to support requirements.
• Analyze and define system’s scope and objectives based on both business and user requirements.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses.
• Ensures high level of BI availability through support functions and in-depth validation.
• May assist with coordination of IT activities and may be responsible for project completion and user satisfaction.
• Provide technical guidance on the deployment of architecture, development guidelines.
• Apply strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively gather and identify requirements.
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes.

Job Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1+ yrs. of working experience with reporting tools such as; MicroStrategy, Tableau, OBIEE, SAS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Experience with data warehouse design is preferred. Prior experience in migration, modernization, or Data Warehousing projects a major plus.
• Prior experience with BI tools which include setup and configuration, schema design, objects development, security, administration, performance monitoring and tuning.
• Knowledge of scripting skills. Splunk, PowerShell or Linux administration preferred.
• Programming skills with experience writing stored Procedures/cursors/triggers is preferred.
• SAS Platform Administrator/GRID Administrator certification is a plus.
• Exposure to Python, R or iPython or any other Scripting language. Strong SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Experience with NoSQL database such as MongoDB and relational databases such as DB2, Teradata and SQL Server.
• Has strong collaboration skills and can communicate all aspect of the job requirement.
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and techniques. Conduct research and attend training and/or industry seminars as appropriate, to stay abreast of current technologies, trends and directions.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with limited supervision while also managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Familiarity with XML/JSON schemas
• Familiarity with ETL, Big data, Spark and Kafka is a plus
• Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
• Familiarity on public cloud and cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS, Azure, or any other Infrastructure as a Service provider
