Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a DataStage ETL Developer. The ETL Developer will be responsible for various data migration efforts to support modernizing legacy systems efforts, as well as be responsible for developing data integration processes combining diverse data sources into a unified view to support analytics and reporting requirements.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Develops complex data transformations for data integration solutions according to received specifications.
• Requires solid DataStage Developer experience and implementing complex ETL transformations.
• Participates in all activities associated with design, development, test and implementation of data transformation objects using current tools and software.
• Prepares detailed system specifications from which data integrations or migrations will be developed.
• Responsible for delivering projects using the latest tools/technologies within an agile environment.
• Under minimal direction, troubleshoots technical issues related to data transformation, process flows, transformations and product issues.
• Assists in establishing processes and procedures, customizations, configurations and administration of ETL projects and tool solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on the deployment of architecture, development guidelines.
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes.

Job Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1+ years’ experience in Data Integration tools and experience developing scalable and comprehensive enterprise data solutions or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Prior experience with data migration, modernization, or Data Warehousing projects a major plus.
• Knowledge of IBM DataStage Designer and Director.
• Strong SQL knowledge working with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with scripting to automate file preparation and database tools
• Capability to understand requirements and convert to design.
• Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills needed to effectively gather and identify requirements.
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with limited supervision while also managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Exposure to Python, R or iPython or any other Scripting language.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and relational databases such as DB2, Teradata, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with XML/JSON schemas
• Experience working in Linux OS, bash scripting, PuTTy .
• Familiarity with ETL, Big data, Spark and Kafka is a plus
• Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
