Responsibilities:


• Independently develop audit plans, process workflows, and test procedures following a defined risk assessment process
• Independently identify and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of key internal controls over significant business and information technology risks
• Produce clear, complete, concise, and well organized work papers in compliance with internal standards, policies and procedures
• Effectively use delegation and project management skills to ensure the completion of audits within established budget and timeframe
• Effectively review audit documentation and work paper produced by audit team members
• Provide guidance, on the job training and timely feedback to improve FIN/OPS audit team members’ skills
• Communicate and collaborate with business line partners to ensure internal control concerns and/or operational inefficiencies are appropriately addressed
• Develop clear and concise audit reports that summarize the scope and results
• Evaluate the adequacy of action plans and ensures follow-up testing has been performed on reported control deficiencies
• Assist with executing the Model Audit Rule Program, including driving the project plan, maintaining key control testing, reviewing audit procedures and reporting requirements
• Utilize various tools, technologies, methodologies and innovation to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the IA team
• Keep abreast of new processes, products, regulations, and emerging risks which may impact the Company


Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years auditing experience or related business line experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified IS Auditor or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
• Experience in the insurance industry preferred
• Knowledge of the IIA’S International Professional Practice Framework
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strone time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail
• Desire to pursue additional professional and/ or insurance designations
