The investment department of Amica Mutual Insurance Co. is seeking an analyst to join the alternative investment team responsible for managing a $600 million portfolio of venture capital, private equity, private credit, and real asset investments. The analyst will be part of small group tasked with overseeing the existing portfolio of commitments and identifying new private markets opportunities.


  • Perform regular surveillance of the existing alternative investment portfolio including annual manager review write-ups
  • Identify and propose alternative investments for the Amica portfolios with the goal of outperforming the indexes and increasing investments in top quartile managers. This includes creating term sheets and preparing full due diligence deal write-ups.
  • Track the characteristics and performance of our alternative investments using Burgiss and excel
  • Assist in the creation of reports for the CIO and the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors including portfolio updates and portfolio reviews, among other reports


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prefer minimum of 3 years of experience with private markets investments
  • Has a CFA designation or willing to pursue
  • Must be self-starter, creative and open-minded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
