Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Occupational Nurse. The selected individual will be responsible for ergonomics, pandemic response, Amica’s safety programs and the internal administration of workers’ compensation and OSHA reporting.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement safety programs locally and for the national offices
  • COVID response, including researching, developing & implementing enterprise-wide policies
  • Respond to medical and environmental emergencies
  • Management of worker’s compensation claims countrywide
  • Create and implement business recovery planning related to medical and environmental issues
  • Ensure corporate and branch compliance with OSHA safety regulations
  • Manage first aid programs countrywide and is a Certified First Aid instructor
  • Manage medical surveillance programs including but not limited to Respiratory Protection, Hazmat and Blood borne Pathogens
  • Manage emergency and building evacuation plans countywide
  • Responsible for ergonomic assessments and remediation
  • Implement resolutions for disabled employees in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Coordinate work-related immunizations or refer when appropriate
  • Conduct accident investigations
  • Participate on Safety Committees for Corporate and national regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate company blood drives and flu clinics

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Nursing degree preferred
  • Experience in the occupational health field preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulatory compliance and Workers Compensation
  • Knowledge of and experience handling ADA issues
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Corporate Safety programs
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience handling ergonomic assessments
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Works closely with other areas, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
