Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Senior Network Operations Specialist to evaluate, design, implement, monitor and support enterprise network infrastructure.


  • Design, implement, upgrade and maintain the enterprise network infrastructure to support business requirements. This includes capacity planning analysis to project future requirements.
  • Utilize hardware and software tools to monitor and control the performance, reliability, security and availability of enterprise network This includes the identification, diagnosis and resolution of network performance issues
  • Develop, implement and test recovery procedures for critical network devices.
  • Competent to work at a high technical level in multiple capacities in the Network Operations Service.
  • Collaborate with vendors to implement technical solutions and diagnose network issues.
  • Interact with appropriate staff to identify and evaluate the impact of business and technology projects on network
  • Perform root cause analysis to bring complex issues to resolution
  • Provide effective mentoring and guidance to other CIS team members and may assist in developing standards for network service functions as well as provide coverage and support of the network environment and acts as technical resource to support the Help Desk, CIS staff, and other corporate entities.
  • Conducts research and attends training and/or industry seminars to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation


  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise level routing and switching. Deep experience with routing protocols, subnet/VLAN design, spanning tree design/troubleshooting, layer 2/3 high availability and RADIUS required.  Experience with VXLAN, EVPN, software defined networking, DevOps tooling and scripting preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud based enterprise networking (AWS preferred) with an emphasis on hybrid cloud operation.
  • Familiarity with Agile workflow. Has a collaborative team oriented mindset.
  • Ability to effectively break down, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks independently.
  • Ability to identify challenges and risks to network security, availability and performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within CIS as well as with business units about planned work, completed work and next steps.
