• Utilize and maintain technical and applications expertise, including the use of technologies, tools, programming standards, established processes, and concepts necessary to develop quality software solutions for the section’s primary areas of responsibility.
• Proactively identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis; formulate and execute plans to develop solutions.
• Participate in activities associated with the Application Development Life Cycle, including technical design sessions and custom development of complex solutions aligned with the business objectives. Translate business requirements into well architected solutions.
• Provide innovative ideas and articulate the benefits and risks of specific solutions.
• Develop the latest customer facing features using React
• Proactive in the review and testing of new code of other developers to mitigate risk and ensure technical consistencies
• Involved with simultaneous IT projects on varying technology stacks. Monitor performance, debug issues and fine tune processes to increase performance on an on-going basis.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications from which solutions will be developed and estimate the level of effort to implement a solution based on business requirements.
• Give effective mentoring and guidance to other software development personnel and may assist in developing standards for program development.
• Participates in release management best practices for production ready code
• Provide coverage and support of production systems and is committed to providing quick turnaround for day to day and high priority ad-hoc requests.


• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years development experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Extensive experience and technology agnostic with a focus on front-end web development• Proven ability to design and optimize complex business solutions integrated across multiple systems and experienced working on multiple IT projects having varying technology stacks.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization; Open to feedback from peers.
• Self-motivated and self-directed in all aspects of the job particularly in the ability to research and self-teach in areas where formal training is not available. Committed to continuous learning and maintaining knowledge of technologies and skills; Increasing knowledge of applications and impacts of changes across teams.
• Ability to effectively break down, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks independently.
• Ability to identify challenges and risks to the completion of work along with communication of those with possible solutions to the appropriate personnel.
