Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, state, and local tax legislation while identifying opportunities and implementing procedures to promote tax efficiency
• Manage tax reporting, tax planning and compliance function of the Amica Companies
• Oversee the completion and timely filing of federal, state and local tax returns
• Collaborate with direct reports, peers and management to resolve issues and promote efficiencies
• Serve as Accounting representative on corporate-wide compliance related issues such as records retention and compliance practices
• Manage fixed asset reporting, including capitalization policy, book and tax depreciation, etc.
• Provide technical expertise required to identify tax opportunities and threats to the Company and recommend appropriate course of action
• Assist in the development of staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 7 years work experience
• CPA or other designation/certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be familiar with federal, state and local tax regulations 
• Managerial experience a plus
• Ability to effectively build teams
• Pursuit of advanced degree recommended
