Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Associate Subrogation Representative. This position is responsible for the identification and research of subrogation claims working within specific limits and authority on assignments of moderate technical complexity. The selected individual will coordinate with the insured, claimants, insurance representatives and attorneys during the pursuit of subrogation to maximize fair recoveries through negotiations.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate liability and damages to assess subrogation potential including consideration of jurisdiction regulations
• Negotiate subrogation recoveries with carriers, responsible parties, and other legal representatives
• Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new information as it becomes available and an analysis of the impact on the liability and recovery options
• Maintain diary systems to manage files in a timely manner; documenting key activities in a clear and concise manner
• Manage expenses on assigned files to assure cost effective resolution, including legal expenses on litigated files
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Two to four years of claims subrogation experience
• Strong organizational, file management and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong decision making skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
• Willing to pursue additional insurance designations
