•Conduct thorough examinations of casualty claims through investigations, which include assessing loss sites, performing research, and consulting experts
•Balance investigations of claims with file reporting, both in the branch office and your home office
•Analyze information and make decisions on claim files
•Educate customers, vendors, and other involved parties throughout the claims process
•Negotiate with attorneys and other parties to ensure fair and equitable claims settlements
•Develop positive relationships with customers and other industry professionals
•Acquire and apply knowledge of legal concepts and medical terminology
•Deliver extraordinary good faith customer service at every touch point throughout the claims process while adhering to Amica’s internal standards and State & Federal guidelines
•Attend training sessions and claims meetings Assist in training of other claims personnel


•Requires Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum of 2 year's adjusting experience
•Must acquire the knowledge / technical skills needed to complete the requirements of the position
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
•Willingness to work irregular hours as job needs dictate
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Pursue additional insurance designations
