Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst to help further our business intelligence and analytics capabilities. The Claims Business Intelligence team’s mission is to provide current, comprehensive, and accurate information empowering Amica to make the best business decisions possible.

The selected candidate will determine requirements and create reports, dashboards, and mobile applications based on internal customer needs. Will be responsible for extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from various sources and utilizing tools such as MicroStrategy to present data to users.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•Analyze data to develop business solutions that will positively impact the Company
•Gather requirements and create reports based on internal customer needs using MicroStrategy or equivalent tools
•Complete the design, construction, testing, implementation, training, and maintenance of new reports
•Develop and maintain corporate dashboards and scorecards
•Test and validate underlying report data
•Assist business executives by sharing insights, providing supporting details, making recommendations, and measuring results
•Use SQL or other database querying language to extract and manipulate data
•Provide technical support for existing reports
•Assist with the development of reporting and data standards/best practices
•Perform administration for reporting and other related tools where required
•Present the team’s mission to other internal departments
•Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Job Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Outstanding organizational and time management skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
•Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations with MicroStrategy or other business intelligence software
•Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
•Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
•Ability to work with a reasonable degree of independence and within a team
•Effectively manage time to handle competing high priority projects
•Knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter application, or other Claims Processing systems is a plus
