Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Developer who will use tools or create technical solutions to perform validation activities on a variety of efforts. An Associate QA Developer is expected to build a foundation of good QA practices and technical skills that allow them to identify and effectively communicate possible quality issues or improvement opportunities.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Builds technical and application expertise, including the use of existing and emerging technologies, tools, programming, and technology concepts
• Develops or configures tool or system based solutions for the purpose of ensuring high quality applications and systems
• Creates test strategies, approaches, test scenarios and test ideas with clear intent
• Provides project stakeholders with information relevant to or intended to influence decisions that will positively impact the quality of application development delivery
• Reviews business requirements, stories, system designs, and may seek to understand all facets related to application development activities
• May oversee and guide vendor resources performing similar work
• May provide application developers with feedback during reviews or assistance with enhanced unit testing
• Ensures that all application solutions meet or exceed standards, user requirements and acceptable levels of quality
• Identifies risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure
• May be called upon to handle other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in test automation or application development
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited college or university or other bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of programming and industry prevalent testing utilities
• Effectively communicates, in written and verbal formats
