Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking an entry level Attorney who will be responsible for providing legal services to Amica Mutual and subsidiary companies pursuant to the direction of the General Counsel. This position requires the ability to work independently and to have the confidence of our internal clients. Draw up legal documents, provide legal advice regarding employment law, and ensure the firm operates in accordance with various legal parameters.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide the primary legal review of contracts and leases
• Perform legal research as requested by operating departments and General Counsel
• Handle trademark and copyright matters/compliance
• Assist in managing litigation filed against Amica Mutual or Amica Life at direction of General Counsel
• Provide general legal counsel to various departments of Amica Mutual and Amica Life, as needed
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate and membership in at least one state bar
• 1-5 years’ legal experience, with preference to candidate with insurance or regulatory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Strong research skills
