Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst. The primary role in this position is to identify, design and develop data analytics solutions to support audit activities performed by the Internal Audit team.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Manage data extraction, storage, transformation, and processing through data analytics routines, and generate output for visualization/analysis by the Internal Audit team.
• Use data analysis tools to automate audit testing and develop techniques for continuous auditing and analyzing large volumes of data
• Interact with management and business partners to identify appropriate data sources and data elements required for analytics, applying professional skepticism when assessing data sources and validating the completeness and accuracy of data received
• Interact and collaborate with Internal Audit team members in working towards departmental goals
• Coordinates the design, construction, testing, implementation, training, and maintenance of advanced reports, dashboards, and associated objects using MicroStrategy or other data analysis tools
• Ensures accuracy of results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data
• Provides advanced knowledge of key aspects of data to the entire organization
• Provides advanced technical support for existing management reports
• Serves as a liaison between the internal audit team and data warehousing team
• Helps identify and assess potential data sources
• Performs administration for reporting and other related tools where required
• Provides support for internal and external auditors by:
o Working with audit team and business line to identify data needed to support audit testing
o Analyzes data in support of individual audit test steps
o Document results of analysis work
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math/Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of analytics experience
• Experience with Data Visualization tools
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong written, verbal and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team
• Ability to teach others
• High Proficiency with SQL, MicroStrategy and other data mining software
• Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel (including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
