Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Claims Innovation Analyst. The selected candidate will research, design, develop, maintain and support business information systems and processes. Will support an existing Esri ArcGIS-server implementation and associated web applications, coordinate technology-focused projects involving multiple areas of the enterprise, and assist management in identifying trends through data analysis.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•Use advanced analysis techniques to research, design, develop, maintain and support user-friendly and efficient business information systems and processes
•Direct and coordinate technology focused projects and activities involving multiple areas of the enterprise
•Develop and maintain GIS web applications using multiple coding languages and tools (Esri’s ArcGIS suite, Silverlight, JavaScript, SQL, Python and VBScript)
•Develop analyses of financial, operational, and production data to support key business plans, trends and results
•Provide GIS based analysis for weather related CAT events and for other requested analysis
•Evaluate options and make recommendations to business processes to gain efficiencies and enhance performance
•Serve as a liaison between business and technical personnel, including external vendors, on application development projects
•Develop and distribute regularly scheduled production management, ad hoc financial and operational reports
•Create Excel and MicroStrategy reports as requested
•Assist in the development of financial models for future new business endeavors
•Perform Project Management for small-scale companywide projects
•Coordinate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new systems, applications and software
•Coordinate and conduct testing for new system implementations, hot fixes, and maintenance
•Identify training needs and oversee the creation of use cases and other training materials
•May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years related experience
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Silverlight, JavaScript, VBScript and ESRI development tools
•Experience with relational database systems
•Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, and map projections
•SQL and Python programming languages and experience automating tasks within ArcGIS is preferred
•Strategic, analytic and creative thinker
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize
•Work well in team environment, as well as, independently
