Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Life Claims Service Representative

The 37.5-hour/week work schedule will be Monday through Friday between the core hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the potential to work holidays and a few Saturdays per year.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Receiving, investigating, evaluating and settling disability and death claims.
• Answering questions associated with payout contracts
• Communicating with customers, attorneys, medical facilities and examiners.
• Willingness to pursue coursework leading to applicable industry designations from The Life Office Management Association (LOMA) and others
• May be called upon to perform additional duties.

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Previous experience in Life Insurance or annuities preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication
• Computer keyboard (35 wpm) and processing skills
• Candidates must be analytical, detail orientated and be able to problem solve, prioritize and have the ability to handle a high volume of work while responding quickly to changes in day to day assignments
• Must work well in a team environment with minimum supervision
