Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Life PMO Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the project management office (PMO) for Amica Life. Will oversee the project portfolio of the organization, including the planning, organization and implementation of multiple highly complex and large scale Life Insurance IT projects.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•Manage PMO staff to ensure that all projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements
•Assign projects to team members, and defines and schedules tasks. Manages team performance, including goal setting and providing performance reviews.
•Responsible for leading the successful and timely delivery of a portfolio of projects for the organization, ensuring optimum levels of delivery quality and reliability
•Defines, develops, and standardizes project/program management best practices, processes, and policies to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals
•Drives the ongoing development of the organization’s project management skills and project delivery maturity capabilities. Provides leadership and mentoring in both technical and non-technical aspects to other Project Managers and IT personnel.
•Develops project plans, and manages projects throughout the project lifecycle using appropriate tools and approved processes. Manages project scope using the Change Control Process and other project management techniques
•Facilitates project initiation including definition of scope, objectives, and cost estimates
•Manages Portfolio financial budget, including initial baseline budget, change control, and revised forecast
•Provides portfolio status updates, and other appropriate communication throughout the project lifecycle to all stakeholders. Generates project/portfolio metrics, validates service level compliance and develops actionable recommendations.
•Attends training and/or industry seminars as appropriate, to stay abreast of current technologies, trends and directions
•May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years’ experience managing a portfolio of multiple and/or highly complex projects
•Experience with multiple project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
•Experience leading a PMO organization is a plus
•PMP designation preferred, FLMI (LOMA) designations a plus
•Domain knowledge and/or experience in Life insurance preferred
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Able to work independently, show judgement and initiative
•Proficient in use of MS Project, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint. Experience with Jira and Confluence a plus.
