Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Life Systems Analyst to perform application system analysis, develop IT solutions for business applications and assist with the implementation of those solutions in support of core organizational functions.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and define system scope, objectives, and cost based analysis of both business and user needs and consider all aspects of implications of technology to the current and future environments.
• Identify and document system integration dependencies with the solutions architect.
• Assist in the deployment of current and new applications and enhancements.
• Perform technical/application impact analysis and metrics. Prioritize defect resolutions, solutions, and implementations around technical and business impact.
• Utilize and maintain technical and applications expertise, including the use of technologies, tools, programming standards, established processes, and concepts necessary to develop quality IT solutions.
• Provide coverage and support of production application systems on an on-call basis and within approved SLA.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
• Attend training and/or industry seminars as appropriate, to stay abreast of current technologies, trends, and directions.
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology or other related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Systems Analyst
• Minimum of 1 year of experience writing technical documentation, i.e. application, development process and requirement documentation
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with technology project management methodologies. (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative)
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
• Creative problem solving and ability to mitigate risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
