multiple scrum teams in moderate to high complexity work streams
Oversee scrum process and coaches the teams on the use of scrum and Agile practices and methodology
Facilitate transparency, inspection, and adoption of Scrum
Organize and facilitate ceremonies, identify improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk. Track and communicate the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders. (Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, etc)
Serve as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team.
Protect the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities
Partner with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team
Arrange and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, demo and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process
Ensure team adherence to agile principles. Provide coaching to the Scrum Teams on how to execute the Scrum framework. Teach team servant leadership
Provide project status updates, and other appropriate communication throughout the project lifecycle to all stakeholders. Generate project/portfolio metrics, validate service level compliance and develops actionable recommendations
Attend training and/or industry seminars as appropriate, to stay abreast of current technologies, trends and directions
Pursue professional designations, such as Certified Scrum Master and FLMI if not previously accredited

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience, including project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience as a Scrum Master or project manager, preferred
Professional designations – PMI-ACP or CSM designation preferred, FLMI (LOMA) designations a plus
Working knowledge of Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
Working knowledge of Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test-driven Development, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Burn-down Metrics, Velocity etc.
Domain knowledge and/or experience in the insurance industry preferred
Experience with agile toolsets such as Jira and Confluence a plus, but not required
Able to make decisions and solve problems in a fast paced, high expectation environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
