Our Lincoln, Rhode Island, office is seeking a Senior Payroll Representative.

The 37.5-hour/week work schedule will be Monday through Friday between the core hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the potential to work holidays and a few Saturdays per year.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Assist with pension run and biweekly payroll, specifically checking entries
• Write up reinstatements, removals, and terminations for biweekly pay run
• Track 401(k) contributions and annual plan limits
• Assist with Form 5500 Preparation
• Prepare new pensioner information, i.e. enter tax information, send IPD authorization forms to appropriate individuals, prepare pensioner file folders
• Assist with year-end closing process
• Assist with internal and external audits as required
• Assist with compensation exhibits
• Track outstanding checks and complete stop payments
• Process off-cycle checks
• Check tax states for new hires, update tax states for pensioners that move, and make tax changes from address change reports and transferred employees
• Complete employment verification forms
• Set up, record, and track balances for garnishments
• Record retention

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with accounting and payroll background preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle issues of a confidential nature
• Computer keyboard (35 wpm) and processing skills
• Accuracy, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and mathematical aptitude
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
