Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to evaluate, configure, implement, monitor and support Business Intelligence platforms. Perform analysis and develop IT solutions to complex business problems and assist with the implementation of those solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle.


Job Function and Responsibilities

• Implements, configures and maintains Business Intelligence infrastructures, hardware and software, including associated vendor software on all platforms to support requirements at an optimum level. This includes maintaining software license compliance and capacity planning analysis to project future requirements.
• Analyzes and defines system’s scope, objectives, and costs based on both business and user needs and considers the implications of business intelligence technology on the current and future environment.
• Coordinates IT activities and may be responsible for project completion and user satisfaction. Facilitates coordination with appropriate areas as needed. Also establishes deliverables related to the project and ensures the use of established processes.
• Works closely with user departments; gathers and interprets business requirements, documents and translates these requirements appropriately for data modelers, ETL and warehouse developers.
• Acts as an administrator / architect of BI products to support, maintain, design, develop and enhance Business Intelligence environments.
• Oversees projects and provides leadership and mentoring in both technical and non-technical aspects of the job; includes instructing, directing and checking the work of others.
• May provide input to the performance appraisal process as needed.
• Provides coverage and support of production application systems.
• Conducts research and assists with IT development efforts as necessary.
• Attends training and/or industry seminars as appropriate, to stay abreast of current technologies, trends and directions.
• May be called upon to handle other duties as required.


Job Requirements

• Typically requires a 4-year degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Must have MicroStrategy Administration experience, experience with other BI Software (SAS) is desired.
