Amica Insurance located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an intern for our Corporate Information Systems Department. This is a paid internship and the working hours are approximately 37.50 hour per week during the summer months, with the possibility of continuing employment during the school year.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Our internship program is designed for students who are currently enrolled in an IT Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

The position involves performing application development activities including analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation. Applicants should have the desire to work in a technical field. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be well-organized and have the ability to work in a team environment.

A programming background is required. Exposure to web-based technologies and database concepts is a plus. Flexibility and the willingness to work with packaged software solutions is also beneficial. Training will be provided.

Amica has created an internship program that is an excellent way for students to receive hands-on experience. Upon successful completion of an internship, candidates may be considered for full time employment.
