Our office located in Lincoln, RI, is seeking an intern for our Service Center Operations – First Notice of Loss (FNOL) team. This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week during the summer.

Our internship program is designed for students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university and will be continuing their studies in the fall. Candidates must be seeking a degree in Business, Data Analytics or an insurance related major.

The selected intern will act as a front-line service center representative while being given time to participate in various service center projects and initiatives by partnering with other center interns.

Amica has created an internship program that is an excellent way for students to receive hands-on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

The job duties include assisting the Service Center with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Handle incoming First Notice of Loss claims calls
  • Complete an analysis of content on department intranet pages and assist with organization of website content
  • Analyze industry feedback methods and present findings to management
  • Complete a business related team project with other interns
  • Assist management with other ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Various other management support-related tasks as they arise

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to work independently, once provided with instruction 
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with a variety of software products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) 
  • Flexible and willing to learn a variety of computer programs, perhaps less familiar (e.g., Guidewire, Genesys, SharePoint, etc.)
