Our office in Lincoln, RI is looking for part-time Student Customer Care Representatives. Amica, consistently one of Providence Business News’ “Best Places to Work in Rhode Island,” is looking for candidates for part-time Student Customer Care Representatives in our call center, with the potential for summer internship opportunities.

We are seeking high school and college students looking for flexible hours and, more importantly, their first taste of a professional environment with an award-winning company. This position is a great way to acquire the necessary experience to excel in your future business career in a competitive job market.

Those selected for this position will start during Winter break and continue during Spring semester 

This is a flexible, part-time position with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week designed to work around your class schedule. 

The hourly rate for this position is $17.50/hr. 

Responsibilities:
  • Attend initial skills training
  • Become proficient in billing offerings and systems
  • Handle incoming calls to address customer questions and requests in a professional manner
  • Recommend appropriate solutions, procedures and actions to customers
Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled in a high school or college undergraduate program
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
  • Customer service experience preferred

Amica conducts background checks which includes a review of criminal, educational, employment and social media histories, and if the role involves use of a company vehicle, a motor vehicle or driving history report. The background check will not be initiated until after a conditional offer of employment is made and the candidate accepts the offer.
